Welcome to the Kirkland, Washington waterfront! Located just 19 minutes from downtown Seattle and 9 mins from the City of Bellevue, Kirkland embodies the charm of a small waterfront community while keeping you central to the city and neighboring metropolitan areas. Located on the eastern shore of Lake Washington, Kirkland is best known for its vibrant downtown, perfectly manicured parks, beautiful views, spectacular homes, top-rated public schools, boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants.

Kirkland is home to many lakeside neighborhoods that feature gorgeous single-family homes, waterfront condominiums, and lakeside apartments. In this video, we highlighted the homes located along Lake Avenue in the Market neighborhood, where homes are perfectly situated along the shoreline. With almost every home accompanied by a private dock and expansive views, this area offers you the chance to have all of your water toys literally in your backyard at your fingertips.

 

The Kirkland Marina Park docks and 2nd Avenue South docks are just steps from the quaint downtown and offer 82 uncovered moorage slips year-round, including a public boat launch. Making it possible for you to enjoy all of your favorite water sports on a pristine freshwater lake all day long, followed by an evening exploring the town and experiencing one of the many local restaurants, all without needing a car. 

 

Every Wednesday and Friday during the Summer, the city hosts a Farmer’s Market at Juanita Beach Park. These events provide local farm-fresh produce and flowers, artisan breads and baked goods, food trucks, wineries, and local artists. During the months of July and August, the city hosts an Outdoor Summer Movie Series! This FREE series plays family-friendly movies at both 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm so the whole community can participate. 

 

If you want to get away for the weekend, Seattle – Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) is only a short 30 minutes away. If staying closer to home while still getting out of town is more your style, residents of Kirkland are only a short drive to the Cascade and Olympic Mountain Ranges where an abundance of year-round activities exist for all like snowboarding, skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Whether it is boating, nightlife, mountain adventures, staying local, or adventuring the islands of the Pacific NorthWest, residents of Kirkland have so many options!
